Look at the traditional scale practice (in the middle fingerboard major scale as an example):

This concentration in one area, from six strings to one scale practice method is now the most mainstream. Maybe it's a good practice of fingering, but it's hard for trainees to remember the notes on the fingerboard.

I do not know what sound they are playing, fingering and then skilled, it is difficult to play its greatest value.

Want to remember the sound of guitar fretboard, in addition to rote memorize, practice ability can be eight words, but also other good way?

Have!

According to my many years of playing piano experience, I developed a relatively simple and very effective practice, to help you find the law in the disorder, the use of tips to achieve memory goals.

I gave it a name, called "Cross Scale Practice."

Next, I will come to break down the logical logic of "traversing scale practice."

1. Divide the guitar 6 strings into 3 zones

This is very intuitive and easy to understand.

Red high-pitched area, blue midrange area, green bass area.

2 fingering memory highs

Good points, we only look at the red high-pitched area.

According to the rules of each string 3-tone vertical division:

A group of six sounds, such as BCDEFG, and the number of B group.

The next group after the B group is the C group made up of CDEFGA, the D group made up of DEFGAB ....... and so on. See below.

Like this, we get 7 groups of six tones per group.

Use the up and down cycle to keep playing these 7 groups of sounds, familiar with the six melodies in each group to form a sense of melody, you can help you constantly remember their location.

At first, for quicker memory, first practice a group, but after proficiency, begin to try to move the performance in both groups.

Next, slowly take over the other groups until the 7 groups in the high pitch area are as expert as the C group.

When you have gone through enough practice, you have been able to keep track of the note position in this group and play it as you please.

3. Find crossing point

This step is where the essence of "Cross Scale Practice" lies.

In the previous step, we all operated in the treble range. To find the crossover point, we first find the same pitch in the midrange and bass range (the first sound of each group is in the other partition's position).

The contents of the three red boxes are the same

Then you will find that group A pops up with the same fingering in both the bass and midrange areas.

As shown above from the three-zone fingering the same group A are played again, then you can all the groups are in other partitions to find out to practice to try, and bear in mind the law.

Combine crossover points with the 6-band practice in the previous step, and you'll be able to walk the rest of the world.
